Presentation Guidelines


The official meeting language is English. There will be no simultaneous translation.

Oral presentations

Oral presentations are scheduled for 15 minutes + 5 minutes for discussions.
Excepted for the opening session (Monday morning) all sessions will be on the same time frame. Your cooperation will be therefore very much appreciated, with the cooperation of the Session chairpersons, to help keeping the meeting on schedule.

The standard audio-visual package in each meeting room will consist of an LCD projector, screen, pointer, and wireless microphone (PLEASE NOTE: Due to extremely limited use at recent meetings, overhead projectors will NOT be available).

Speakers are reminded of the importance of using clear and high quality material for projection.

To ensure the effectiveness of computerized projection, your files (on USB keys, CD ROM) must be provided to the projectionist prior to your presentation, at the preview room. Testing your presentation in the preview room is strongly recommended to minimize equipment compatibility difficulties.

Poster presentations

The poster exhibition will be held from Monday to Thursday between 2pm and 3pm.

One display board will be provided for each poster. Assistance and mounting materials will be available.

Posters will be mounted on appropriate display boards on Monday before 13h00 and removed before 14h00 on Thursday.

Size should not exceed 120 cm high and 85 cm wide
The lettering should be readable from at least 1 m distance
Text should be kept to a minimum, while figures and tables should be large.
